North Port Warm Mineral Springs Park is one of those special places I love to visit when I need a break from Sarasota. It’s only a short drive away, and every time I go, I leave feeling completely relaxed. This place is like a natural spa, with warm, mineral-rich water that stays at a steady 85 degrees Fahrenheit all year round. People believe the water has healing properties because it’s packed with over 50 different minerals, and honestly, whether that’s true or not, it definitely feels amazing to soak in.
The spring itself is a giant, round natural pool with clear, slightly salty water. Because of the minerals, you float without even trying, which makes it even more relaxing. The whole area is surrounded by trees and nature, so it feels peaceful and quiet—perfect if you just want to unwind. Some people come here for hours just to float and enjoy the calm atmosphere. If you don’t feel like swimming, there are plenty of places to sit, relax, and take in the view. There’s also a small walking path if you want to stretch your legs and explore a bit.
One thing to know before you go is that there is an entrance fee. For Florida residents, it’s about $11 per person on weekdays and $15 on weekends. If you’re not a resident, the price is a little higher, around $15 to $20. They also have discounts for seniors and military members. The park limits how many people can enter at a time, so if you’re visiting during the busy season, especially in winter, it’s a good idea to arrive early to make sure you get in.
